Get your groove on with the faculty and artists of Orchestra North this July at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market. This genre breaking ensemble will take classical instruments and add them to everything from Bach to Nirvana and Olivia Rodrigo to Dvorak.  Feel the intensity and lyricism from classical music’s great works, and experience the virtuosity of an orchestra as that puts a signature style on some of their favourite pop tunes. 

Featuring the many ensembles, large and small, this show will present Victoria Yeh, Sebastian Ostertag, Eric Kim-Fujita, Samantha Orr, Elena, Sarah Steeves and festival special guests. 

About Orchestra North 

Orchestra North is an annual summer program held throughout Grey-Bruce that brings together musicians to play, collaborate and learn together with some of Canada’s finest artists. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Sebastian Ostertag, the festival has grown to include online workshops, symphonic concerts, performances on board the Chi-Cheemaun ferry, collaborations with the Noon Hour Series, Big Sound, Grey Roots Museum and Archives, Maawanji’iding: Festival Canadiana, and the Owen Sound Music for Youth Orchestra.
